Shrink wrapping consists of a polyurethane sheeting completely shrouding a product, then heat is applied to the material which causes it to shrink conforming to the shape of the product. The heated film then hardens and maintains it's rigidity, holding the product in place. Use ranges from domestics shipments and in-house storage.
Benefits: Re-entry Capabilities - Improved protection - Seamless containment - UV inhibitors - 2 year outdoor lifespan - Qualifies as a recyclable plastic
Shrink wrap can be used to hold cartons in place on pallets or to hold special wrapping material in place during transit. It is frequently used on boats to cover and protect the interior from outside moisture. This procedure and product has been approved and recommended by the Government for many of the shipments which formerly required crating to hold the product in place.
