Valley Box is proud to use Dunn-Edwards paint products. Dunn-Edwards is considered one of the most environmentally-friendly paint manufacturers and an industry leader in eco-efficient principles.
The idea of “going green” gained popularity across a broad spectrum of consumers and costumers. Dunn-Edwards has always believed in being green.
For example, throughout its operations the company focuses on initiatives such as energy efficiency, waste minimization, recycling, emissions reduction, and health and safety protection. They have been ahead of the game for decades. In the 50’s they discontinued their last remaining led-based paint products, 25 years before federal regulations banned the uses of such product. In the 70’s they reformulated water based paints in order to eliminate the use of biocides containing mercury, long before the U.S. EPA imposed a limited ban in the 90’s. Dunn-Edwards removed EG from its paint formulas in 1984 and remains the only major manufacturer to have done so.
EG, which is listed as a hazardous air pollutant and toxic air contaminant, can be harmful to humans. Dunn-Edwards has produced and sold premium & "green" paint products for 85 years while building an eco-efficient reputation they plan to keep.
